More Than Planting Soil

This is a unique topsoil blend - our famous Living Earth Compost, quality loam topsoil and just the right amount of sand sprinkled in.

Like More than Garden Mix, More Than Planting Soil is formulated for topping up the garden or planting into directly. The difference is that More than Planting Soil contains quality topsoil, whereas More than Garden Mix is a lighter formulation and contains fertilisers. You could use More Than Planting Soil for planting trees and shrubs, or for a heavier textured soil in the vegetable garden. It is ideal for growing root vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, parsnip and celeriac to name a few.

Unlike our other mixes, More than Planting Soil contains topsoil, which while it is of the highest quality we cannot say that it is 100% weed-free

More Than Planting Soil contains plenty of compost to add nutrients to the garden and the sand assists drainage. Based on our trial work, it is a lovely, denser mix to work with and grows great plants. It is frequently the mix of choice with the landscaping fraternity.

More Than Planting Soil can be used in the garden as ordinary soil to a depth of at least 300mm.
